Most Nokia phones nowadays come with Ovi apps which includes a navigation software in it. However, some of the Windows Mobile phone does not come with one of these navigation tool. Garmin Mobile XT, one of the most powerful powerful navigation apps for mobile developed by Garmin which has currently discontinued its development and also providing minimal support.

Instead of sending your WM phone to the phone shops, or rather your own manufacturer support which they will charge you for few hundreds on the Genuine Garmin license. Phone shops charge you around 50bucks or more for an installation. So, why not trying it out yourself ? Download 3 essential installer from Garmin :
Garmin Mobile XT (Install the app’s core)
Garmin Mobile XT Support Files (Install support files)
Garmin Mobile XT Free Basemap (Install basemap – does not allow routing)Delete folder name “2677″ if you found it on the installed folder

How to?
Connect your device to the computer using the USB cable. Make sure that you are connected via Microsoft ActiveSync. Install, and choose the installation location to your mobile phone. It is recommended to use a Storage Card

Finish up the installation. Install all three Garmin Mobile XT, Support files and Free basemap one by one with the same procedure. Disconnect your mobile phone from the PC and see your mobile phone for new application installation process.

Once you get your Garmin unlock code, paste the code into a notepad and save it as SW.UNL (not SW.UNL.txt). When saving in notepad, choose All Files for “Save as Type”. Copy the file into the root folder of your Garmin installation
