We have got a view on both HTC new phones – HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z. It is an awesome phone. Watch the 30-minute video above – DEBUT in London last week. Well, being a HTC user, I have always been wondering what I can do beyond what my phone is capable of doing, which is running besides the Windows Operating System.
The new HTC Sense in the HD ROM give a whole new experience on the User Interface and it was a great face-lift. The home screen has been reorganized on the way you add widget, and also more features are available which was not talked during the Peter’s speech last week. Among them is the Skin, Scenes and new live wallpaper.

Run CLRCAD which is not going to do anything you can see on the screen (give you sound when running Android OS) then run HARET.exe
It runs on Sense UI on this build that I am going to talk about. Starting up we can customize the home screen by tapping on the button of the bottom-right on the screen, you will get a new personalization screen. You now get skin, which is more like a theme, where you can customize how your interface looks like. All these can sooner be available on htcsense.com which is not available yet at the moment. You can try going into the site but is locked via htaccess.
Scene? What is this ? You can get scenes for you to use like Work, Play and etc. You use different screens for different occasion. And also, the icons are more colorful compared to the Froyo that I have been introducing to you guys previously.
Location!! This ROM even equipped itself with an app called location. With location, it pre-downloaded the map into your device and it acts just like a GPS. It gives quite a good direction too.
Of course, since the phone is not out yet, but the ROM was leaked, this is wild!! Some apps are not working yet like the camera, and sometimes the facebook app which I experience and also the notification LED which sometimes blinks for no reason. Not only that, currently the e-book reader is not fully working too. We will keep you updated when new roms are available. Please note that this is not recommended for daily usage but for experimental purposes only. The “Set Ringtone” panel in the Settings, will force you to close it too, so the trick to set your own ringtone, go to Music Player, then choose the song to play, go into Options, SET AS RINGTONE..
Here’s some screenshots and you can actually feel it. Have fun!! Note that the first boot takes quite some time as it creates an image file of approximately 1gb on your SD card.
