Square Chinese Character Error in Windows

This has been brought to my attention after a few of my friends been asking me any idea of those chinese characters became square . To be frank, I do not really care what does the Chinese character looks like in my PC .. Yet, this is a flaw, and it has to be solved . Here’s how ..

Step 1: Browse to C:\Windows\Fonts
Step 2: Locate MingLiU Regular and other MingLiU series of fonts
Step 3: Select the series
Step 4: Right click > Show

Tada !! That’s all . Restart your PC and it will all be fine . You do not have to re-install any additional language pack to your OS, this is due to an automatic Windows Update that has hidden those Chinese fonts. It has nothing to do with the encoding in your browsers or what so ever.
