The GroupMail 5.2 usually crash when you are about to launch the program. You will get the following error message / dialogue box .. If you have been using GroupMail for some time, at all of a sudden it just happened to be like this, no worries, this can be fixed.
Reason : Microsoft introduced a security setting into Windows 7 which used to be specific to their Server Operating systems. This security measure is DEP (Data Execution Prevention) and we have seen several cases recently where DEP has prevented GroupMail from running successfully.
While GroupMail has been confirmed by Microsoft as fully compatible with Windows 7 the DEP is still causing some issues which Microsoft is aware of and it appears that this not just occurring in GroupMail but in other software as well.

In the following link Microsoft explain DEP and also provide steps on how to make exclusions from DEP. Please add the GroupMail .exe files found in Program Files/GroupMail 5 to the exclusions. You may only need to add GMMain.exe, GMMailer.exe and GMEdit.exe however to prevent further complications it you may want to add all available .exe files.
