Hong Kong Trip Day 3
February 16, 2010 | With: Family
We woke up slightly late at about 8.. and as usual, i needed half an hour plus to get myself prepared. First think we did was looking for breakfast. We took the MTR to Wong Kok and we found the Top 10 listed Hong Kong Char Chan Teng and guess what, the food was great especially the Polo Butter Bun.
We walked around the Loi Yan Gai and Sai Yong Choi Gai after breakfast. One thing here, there is always something call express escalator whereby it connects few floors with just one escalators. Among these few days, this one called SEIBU shopping mall has one of the longest one which connectes 4 floors.
After an hour walk around the area, we then took the MTR transit to Hong Kong island – Hong Kong MTR Station is the last station for this line. There was a huge shopping mall – CityGate Outlet.
We initially planned to take a cabel car up to the Ngong Ping (where the Big Buddha is) but then, the queue for the cabel car was extremely long and one of the friendly staff told us it might probably take up to one or more than an hour to get our tickets. So she suggested us to take a bus which cost (HK $27 per person per trip) – 35 – 40 minutes.
Up there was freaking cold and the view was nice with the mist. Had ice cream and some hot chilling finger food there. And of course, there was Starbucks here. I manage to get online.. xD i check and reply all my email everyday and not more than 24 hours all emails are replied. So hopefully i can get this going on well.
We had our lunch down back at the CityGate Outlet’s Food Replubic. This is located and Tung Chung by the way. We really spend alot of time walking around and seeing people here. Since it’s just the third day, the city was not too hectic yet. Yet to see tomorrow as everyone goes back to work as normal.
At night, took the MTR from Tung Chung to Hong Kong and had a walkand Lan Kwai Fong. It is mostly bars and pubs and night clubs. And this is where most of the TVB drama shoot for night scenes. Reminds me of Emergency Unit.
Reached Tsim Sha Tsui around 9+ and yet we were still kinda full for dinner. Took a bath and rested in room. We decided not to take anything for dinner. Kinda bloated now after feeling full lol
Tomorrow will be going to Ocean Park. Our tour guide said Disneyland was not as good as we expected so since we are having a packed schedule, she suggested us to go for Ocean Park – departing from Renaissance Hotel Kowloon at 10.45am . Good night guys..
ps.. more to come soon.. connection a bit slow today.. =]
