Though we are student
January 13, 2010 | With: Sharing is Caring
I was made to understand that TPM had issued a letter regarding Non-Designated Parking Along the Road Side. This letter is nothing personal but was meant to be shared among student or anyone who visits our webspace. In the letter, it was said by Mr Hatta, Manager of Security, safety and Parking of TPM that such parking system that has been implemented was one of the requirements by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), which eventually triggers many dissatisfaction among TPM users.
So, I was made to understand it was Bomba instructions to keep the safety of TPM but in the letter, MDec was involved. Is that true that MDeC sets parking standards / policies in order to ensure the achievement towards MSC global status?
Well this is untrue. MDeC replied one of the emails to Yuen Yan

We have raised the issue to Encik Hatta and his clarification is that there have been a mistake in terms of the letter issued by them. MDeC does not set any parking standards as per the letter content. We have requested Encik Hatta to response to all tenants on the miss-communication. As for your parking issues, please seek advise from your administration on the progress as this is the arrangement between UCTI and TPM. I will be monitoring the issue and ensuring that TPM re-issue a letter on the parking requirements.
Replied from MWTang, MDeC
And below is part of the text-version of TPM Letter to all the relevant tenants:
| Kindly be informed that with effect 1st Janaury 2010 all parking bays along the roadside vicinity at the above mentioned buildings will be gazette as non-designated parking area. This is one of the requirement by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) to standardize all car park policies and achieve towards MSC global status |
So looking at the above both replies and the letter from TPM, what do you think? I am not here to create any conflict nor pointing my finger to APIIT / UCTI. Just as a rasional personal regardless of what firm you are working in TPM, is this a right thing to be done by TPM? Just by using MDeC’s name to suppress us.
And see below for the opened car park near Maxis building. This is how terrible and yet we are paying 3 bucks per day.

We tried talking to Anthony. He was nice. But i could feel that he felt helpless too. Afterall its TPM not APIIT / UCTI

Sandy?? Stony??

Sandy and Stony

Muddy

Is this even considered legal to double park others?

Muddy
Feel free to read more on what I have discovered today. No double parking? Its just some excuses. They usually impose to APIIT / UCTI students only. And when other corporate staffs do it, they will just let it go. In fact the most prominent issues will be when IRIS car drivers used a coin to cover the parking coupon, nothing will happen. But when i see even a student who might have accidentally overlapped the new coupon with other old ones, they clamp
