
Google Apps is a service from Google for using custom domain names with several Google products. It features several Web applications with similar functionality to traditional office suites, including: Gmail, Google Calendar, Talk, Docs and Sites.
The Standard Edition is free and offers the same amount of storage as regular Gmail accounts. The Premier Edition, which offers 25 GB of e-mail storage, is 50 USD, 40 EUR, or 33 GBP, per year, per account. The Education Edition, which is free, combines features from the Standard and Premier editions.
Few things you need to do before using Google Apps. Click on the link to get one now. Change your MX Servers to:

1. Go to http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/yourdomain
2. Log in your username and password
3. Go to Inbox > Settings
4. Click on the tab “Forwarding and POP/IMAP”
5. Under “POP Download”, select “Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on”
You are done for the web configuration.
For POP3/SMTP settings for Google Apps configured in Outlook:
1. Key in your name for the email : Your Preferred Name to identify your Account in Outlook
2. Email address : admin@domain.com (assuming admin is your username, remember to include @domain.com)
some configuration interface will ask for username instead of email address, it’s the same, enter “admin@domain.com”
* Note: include @domain.com
3. Account type : POP3
4. POP3 Server: pop.gmail.com (for incoming mail server)
5. SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com (for outgoing mail server)
6. Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
7. In the Outgoing server (SMTP) box, enter 587 and select TLS (encryption settings)
5. In the Incoming server (POP3) box, enter 995 and select “The server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)”
With all these settings configured properly, it shall work.
