I was kinda busy for the whole week thus not been updating this dead blog. But now i am just a little free and started thinking what I have done for the past one week and this come into my thoughts.
Look! This is what some Malaysian cafe does! It is just something not to be taken as a role model by other upcoming-opening cafes. Please don’t do this or you will just piss off customers like me which i do think IT IS SOMETHING VERY SERIOUS despite what the other think of.
It started like this! I called Edmund after my review at Puchong and some meet up @ Sunway. I reached his house and picked him up and headed (initially to the usual Mamak we used to go), but Edmund suggested Coffee Connexion (which eventually sucks – find out why after this). Alright! It’s a new cafe like all the other Old Town White Coffee, Papa Rich or what so ever. So yeah, we decided to have a drink over there.
Let me get to the main point now. We ordered only 2 drinks which is Iced Lemon Tea and another was an Iced White Coffee for Edmund. Of course, the people need time to prepare drinks. So after a couple of minutes, a non-local staff took the drink over with the receipt. I thought that receipt was just for reference (which i used to call it pre-receipt) whereby customer can refer to what they have ordered. Who knows! This shitty thing happened. I remembered clearly in my mind that the receipt was almost flying away and Edmund was the one who grabbed that receipt back for him. (ps. should be end-of-story). I started sipping my Iced Lemon Tea and this chap was standing there still.
Adrian : YES?
Staff : Bayar!
Adrian : Excuse me? Do i have to pay before i finish it?
Staff : Bayar!
Adrian : Is this your restaurant rule?
Staff : Rule?
Obviously, he didn’t seem to understand what i was saying. As everyone knows, i’ll pull a long face when such thing happen (nic said she missed seeing that long face by me). I didn’t want to talk at all and i even thought of leaving the place since i felt so insulted. As if two guys like me and Edmund seems to the boss of the restaurant we can’t afford to pay 2 drinks and told us to pay first. So, Edmund paid while i was pulling my long face still. Seriously i felt damn insulted.
I told Edmund how i felt and he said it was nothing. He doesn’t feel insult at all. So sorry! We have different point-of-views. Just right after a few minutes i kept myself thinking what that guy said and i was in deep anger. (I am annoyed) Anyway, since it was in DJ area, i didn’t want to make an issue; edmund might want to go back there with his friends or family for a drink or something. Had it been for me and Kah Koon, i bet the restaurant wouldn’t want to know how we react.
Half an hour later, my anger raged again. Looking at the boss bringing the bill to the customers after they asked to foot the bill. I was just thinking, they are just discriminating us. By the way, Datuk Ong Ka Ting was having a drink with his few friends in the inside-area and i wonder if the boss will do that to him (i doubt it). Look !! I felt damn insulted, once again i am strengthening the point that the reason i got so angry and dissatisfied with it.
Conclusion, nothing happened there. One thing i have to tell everyone who have not gotten there yet for a new-try venue of drinking (just opened in May 2009),
PLEASE DON’T ELSE YOU WILL END UP LIKE ME WITH FULL ANGER DRINKING AND WALKING OUT OF IT and I DON’T THINK THIS IS SOMETHING FUNNY.
I’ll get the picture of the outlet post up soon. meanwhile i’ll show you guys the location in google map first. Never step into such outlets and let them learn their lessons.

I can imagine how many swear words u were holding back my friend….
haha indeed. i hold back but i din say a word though.. my face was too long and my concern was on other things.. just felt pissed and insulted.. that’s all
there are just all sorts off cafe which i think this is really bad one..
hey are you jules from MMW? hmm anyway ya.. it was really a bad one. but forget it.. its just some random eat out and got myself into terrible experience.. LOL
Considering it was a new start up as you have blatantly put it at that time, I actually went to check it out and was delightfully surprised with the nice roomy area with great food!!!Knew it couldn’t be too bad with public figures already dining there…
Kudos to you for introducing such a convinient eatery for my family and friends!
Hmm.. of course things would improve and yeah quite true of what you said, they just opened that time. so it might be better now.. what else you find nice there? i mean the food..
Ok, i am not the boss, but a regular there. So you encountered some Burmese/Vietnamese who don’t understand a word u are saying. This is so common in Klang Valley nowadays. Is there need to be so piss off?? If you get to know the lady boss there, she is actually quite nice. And the food, although not the best, is better than average. It’s an okay Kopitiam, certainly not the nightmare u made it out to be!
Maybe because you are regular there, you were ok with it. But definitely for the first impression it lost out. In fact speaking to the lady boss can make you pissed. if you were in my shoe that day, maybe you would have felt the same way that i felt now.
This may be a little bit dated but I want to still state a point of view, in which is based on my experiences visiting that (horrendous) vicinity.
- Utter monstrosity. -
It is that bad. Though I could only refer to its condition at that particular time I visited, which isn’t too long ago either.
You have a point, one huge X for Coffee CON-nexion.
ps: Food sucks flat out.
Yes u r right Justin, its awfully bad and since u said was not long ago, I bet this cafe never improve AT ALL..
